Two Young Friends Dream About Adventure

MARDEK Chapter 1: A Fallen Star begins with Mardek and his best friend Deugan acting like great heroes. They storm a dangerous castle, battle monsters, and face a dragon while trying to rescue a princess.

The heroic opening soon reveals what is actually happening. Mardek and Deugan are children who love pretending that they are adventurers. Their imaginary quest gives them a chance to play the roles of powerful warriors before the real adventure begins.

The next morning, Deugan tells Mardek that he sees something strange fall from the sky. The two friends decide to investigate. Their search takes them through the nearby forest and toward the crash site. What they find there changes Mardek’s life. A strange being named Rohoph enters Mardek’s body and begins sharing his mind.

Learn Turn-Based Battles

MARDEK Chapter 1: A Fallen Star uses turn-based combat. You choose what Mardek and Deugan do when their turns arrive. Basic attacks work well against weaker creatures, while abilities and items become useful when a battle gets harder.

One of the most important parts of combat is the reaction system. During attacks and enemy strikes, a timing bar appears. Pressing the action button when the marker reaches the correct area can make your attack stronger or reduce the damage your character receives.

Outside battle, you move around with the arrow keys. The action button lets you speak to people and interact with objects. The menu gives access to equipment, items, skills, and other useful information.

Explore Beyond the Main Story

The journey through the forest and the mysterious fallen object form the main adventure, but MARDEK Chapter 1 also gives you extra things to do.

One optional task involves collecting lead pipes from creatures in the sewers. Completing it earns a useful reward. This gives players a reason to explore areas that do not sit directly on the shortest story path.

MARDEK Chapter 1: A Fallen Star works as an introduction to Mardek’s world. The chapter teaches movement, exploration, battles, equipment, reaction timing, and character interaction without throwing too many systems at the player at once.

The story starts with two children pretending to have an adventure. By the end, Mardek learns that strange creatures and dangerous forces exist outside his imagination. That discovery opens the door to the much larger story that follows.
