Subway Surfers – Bali takes the endless running game into a tropical island setting filled with palm trees, temples, beaches, and colorful scenery. The runner moves along train tracks while trying to avoid trains, barriers, and other obstacles. Coins and special items appear along the route, giving players more things to collect during each run.
Bali has appeared more than once in the Subway Surfers World Tour. The original Bali edition arrives in 2019, and the location returns in 2020 and again in June 2026. The 2026 version features tropical jungles, golden temples, and bright sunset scenes.
Fast Running Through a Tropical Setting
The basic controls stay easy to understand. Players can move the runner between three lanes to avoid trains and objects. Swiping or using the matching keyboard controls changes lanes. Jumping helps clear obstacles, while rolling lets the character move under objects that block the upper part of the track.

Bali Brings Special Characters and Boards
The 2019 Bali edition introduces Mei as the main Bali surfer and adds the Naga hoverboard. Mei also receives her Islander outfit. The weekly hunt uses jasmine flowers as its special collectible.
The 2020 return gives Mei another Bali outfit called Bumi and adds the Coral board. That version also uses plastic bottles for its event collectibles.
The 2026 return brings a fresh set of content. Golden Guardian and Lestari join the game as new surfers. Lestari receives the Hot Spot outfit, while Riley gets an Aquamarine outfit. Three new boards also arrive with the update: Temple Rush, Firefly5, and Bloom Boom.
Collect Coins and Use Power-Ups
Subway Surfers – Bali keeps the familiar collection system from the main game. Coins appear along the tracks and can help players unlock or improve parts of their collection. Power-ups also appear during runs and can change the way the character moves for a short time.
A Coin Magnet pulls nearby coins toward the runner. The Jetpack lifts the character above the railway tracks. Super Sneakers improve jumping, while score-boosting items help increase the score during a run.
Hoverboards also play an important role. Players can activate one during a run to add protection and keep the action going after a mistake. Choosing the right moment to use a board can help during busy sections of the track.
Learn the Route and React Quickly
Bali’s scenery may look calm, but the running action stays quick. Trains can block one lane while another offers a safer path. Groups of coins can also lead players toward a risky area. Good timing helps the runner collect rewards without losing control.
The longer a run lasts, the more important quick reactions become. Players can improve by watching the track ahead, changing lanes early, and timing jumps with care. Each new attempt gives another chance to travel farther and collect more rewards.
