Survive Some Very Dangerous Obstacle Courses
Happy Wheels is a side-view obstacle game built around unusual characters and vehicles. You may ride a bicycle, Segway, wheelchair, shopping cart, pogo stick, or another strange vehicle depending on the character and level.
The main goal often involves reaching a finish line. Some stages use a different objective, such as collecting a certain number of tokens or activating something that completes the level.
Getting there is the difficult part. Courses can contain spikes, mines, harpoons, wrecking balls, falling objects, steep drops, and many other hazards.
Happy Wheels contains strong cartoon blood and graphic injuries. Characters can lose limbs or get crushed by traps, so the game is not aimed at young children despite its simple cartoon artwork.
Balance the Character and Vehicle
The arrow keys handle the basic movement in the browser game. Up usually moves forward while Down slows down or reverses. Left and Right change the character’s balance.
Keeping your balance matters on ramps and jumps. Landing with the vehicle at the wrong angle can throw the character onto the ground.
The Space bar, Shift, and Control keys perform special actions. Their exact purpose changes with the selected character. A character may jump, use a jet, brake, or activate another ability.
The Z key ejects the rider from the vehicle. After leaving the vehicle, the Space bar can let the character grab nearby objects.
Every Character Feels Different
Happy Wheels includes characters with very different ways of moving. Wheelchair Guy uses a jet-powered wheelchair. Segway Guy balances on a personal transporter. Irresponsible Dad rides a bicycle with his son. Other characters use vehicles such as a lawnmower, moped, minecart, or sleigh.
This makes the same obstacle difficult in different ways. A jump that works with one vehicle may become much harder with another.
Happy Wheels also includes a level editor and a huge collection of user-created stages. These custom levels can change the normal rules. Some focus on racing. Others create puzzles, stunt courses, survival challenges, or unusual experiments with the game’s physics.
Happy Wheels is less about perfect driving and more about dealing with unpredictable movement. Keep the vehicle balanced, learn what the selected character can do, watch for traps, and try to reach the goal without getting destroyed along the way.
